The serum was collected from healthy rabbits from slaughterhouses approved by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and tested for no infectious diseases or endogenous antibodies. At all stages of collection and delivery our rabbit serum is strictly in accordance with the standards of USDA and US Quarantine Service to ensure that hemoglobin levels are controlled at or below 50mg/dl . Normal type II rabbit serum is a kind of serum aggregate preparation, mainly used as blocker or negative control immunoassay. Use Instructions
For use in cell culture media, the supplementation ranges from 5% to 20%. The optimum concentration concentration should be determined by the ultimate user.
Heat Inactivation
Serum may be heat inactivated at 56°C for 30 minutes.
Storage and Stability
Store at -10°C to-40°C. Product is stable for 5 years from the date of manufacture if kept at frozen temperature. We suggest that the product should not be subjected to multiple freeze-thaw cycles, should be made into aliquots. Turbidity or flocculent material may be observed upon thawing or prolonged storage at refrigerated temperatures. This is normal in most serum products and not detrimental to its performance.
